The finance team has two work streams. Key financial tasks operate on a cycle and are predictable. Alongside this we work on ad-hoc pieces of work where adding value is the focus. Unlike other finance departments, teamwork and communication are key to ensure we function as efficiently as possible.
People and Operations are a team of generalists and specialists, this makes for interesting varied days. A typical day for a business partner could include working with people leaders on their people plans, setting up in new jurisdictions, coaching leaders on challenging conversations, developing and implementing innovative working solutions, as we see a new era of flexible work becoming the status quo, working with external clients such as immigration consultants, employment lawyers, co-designing future-proof organizational structures, talent development, engagement planning and much more.
A typical day for talent acquisition would be working with our leaders to understand their hiring needs and to build the best go to market strategy for each opportunity, designing and drafting go to market content to attract high performing people to Re-Leased, interviewing candidates, testing developers coding capabilities, shoulder tapping and headhunting the best talent for skills specific opportunities, reporting on measures of success, market remuneration reviews and providing advice on this to the business.
