Business Operations: Our Pillar Of Stability

The business operations team plays a crucial strategic role at the centre of our organisation, safeguarding the stability of the business. While we’re growing fast, it has to be carefully managed to ensure we remain sustainable as we evolve.

The finance team provides forward looking analysis and scenario planning to drive business strategy and direction. The team provides cross-functional partnering to ensure all departments join forces to work on our collective goals.

The people and operations team are strategic people partners that deliver a future-oriented process of developing and implementing HR and operational programs that address and solve business problems and directly contribute to long-term business objectives.

The standard model for the financial function within an organisation is a team which operates in a silo. This is the opposite to what we do. Our team innovates by continually developing an outward-facing finance function which serves as valued counsel by other departments.

The people and operations team are dedicated to creating a culture of high performance, high trust and high accountability which underpins all our
programs of work; strategy implementation and organisational development, career pathways, talent management and leadership capability.

People and Operations are a team of generalists and specialists, this makes for interesting varied days. A typical day for a business partner could include working with people leaders on their people plans, setting up in new jurisdictions, coaching leaders on challenging conversations, developing and implementing innovative working solutions, as we see a new era of flexible work becoming the status quo, working with external clients such as immigration consultants, employment lawyers, co-designing
